There will be a test next week in 7th and 8th grade over the number properties and order of operations.  Click here to practice.

It was fun to see all of the familiar faces at open house last night and to meet a new group of involved parents.  We are off to a great start.  Because several people asked, I have added a link to the text book for each grade on the appropriate page.  Just click on your child’s grade level and you will find a link to the Glencoe website and all the resources that go along with the classroom book.  If you do not have a connection that is fast enough I would be happy to provide you with a CD that contains the same information.  Just let me know.  Please call or send an email smithl@dpsd.org or note with your child if you would like one.

From 5-6 PM hotdogs will be served and then from 6-7 there will be an informal meet and greet between the parents and teachers.  Please come by and see Mrs. Floyd and I.  We will be set up in my room, (portable 500) ready to visit with you.  We already know many of you but there will be a bunch of new faces as well.  We look forward to seeing you at six!

I hope that all of you are enjoying your time off and that you are relaxing as much as possible.  I also hope you are reading a book or two and solving a math problem here and there.   I look forward to seeing all of you in late August!    ~Mrs. Smith
