PRACTICE GAMES

Practice games are specifically designed or assigned by topics and by grade level.  On the right hand side of the screen you will see 6th, 7th, and 8th grade practice games.  Some games such as multiplication tables will be in all three grade levels.  Others will only be assigned to the grade level in which the math topic has been practiced.  The games are designed to both fill gaps and practice new skills.  While you do not have to stay within your assigned grade level, you will have the best chance of understanding the concepts if you practice the games you have been taught.  The more you practice the faster you will catch up and the better you will do in class.  This is a fun way to fill the gaps.

Homework is not frequently assigned in my math classes. The students will have an assignment now and then that they will need to finish at home or one that requires parent participation to complete but usually all assignments are done in class. The exception to this rule is if a student has been absent.Absent work will need to be made up in the after school program or at home.  I allow as much time as needed to make assignments up but will enter zeros should the work never get completed.
